"Super Mario Land 2 - 6 golden coins" overall map (Mario's island). The game was released on gameboy in 1992

I was surprised not to find any fine version of this map anywhere on DA (nor on the internets). So i've decided to do my own. I didn't want to spent much time on it (yet it ended up taking me a few days ton complete it).

The idea was to do a modern version of the map, staying as close as possible to the original. I didn't want to make it all nice 3D version, after all it was a gameboy game.
It is far from perfect, it has cheesy apsects and even some bad parts. So in definitive it's a bit cheap I confess (what with all the photoshop effects).
I've also done some rearrangements, trying to improve the general aspect as much as possible.

You can help me improve it.
I may follow your suggestions whenever possible.

It's fucking beautiful looking. Really wish someone out there would bother to make a graphically updated version of it like Link's Awakening, which isn't to say that Gameboy Graphics are inherently bad.

I'm quite fond of my "cabbage colored games" as the various Game Gear commercials so eloquently put it

Nice, this is a pretty great recreation, and redesign of the world map. :) You did a good job making it look more old-school to, while more advanced then the 8-bit original.

I must add, I love the boarder you designed for the image.

This is awesome. Sometimes I feel like there aren't enough fans of this particular Mario game. It was a great part of my childhood and this just perfectly compliments the game. Makes me feel like they should have done a remake of it.
